Sara Wasserman is a documentary film editor living in Brooklyn, New York. She found her passion for editing and storytelling early on as a teenager, weaving the creative and technical sides of filmmaking together to create unique pieces and challenge herself. She's worked on many projects throughout her thirteen years in the industry but has a special place in her heart for social justice and documentary work. She has collaborated with clients all around the world, and her work can be seen on HBO, PBS, Netflix, Univision, and Fusion. She has been involved with several major documentary projects, which have premiered at SXSW, DOC NYC, and many more festivals. Her editing was Emmy-nominated for Best Documentary, and she has been the winner of both a Webby Award and an Addy Award as well. She continues to work on her specialty—vérité documentaries—while accompanied by her two cats.
